PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – FOUR MILE SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT

In accordance with Utah Code 17D-1-205 notice is hereby given that the Harrisville City Council has adopted a resolution stating its intent to create a special service district constituting the area of the former Ben Lomond Golf Course on Highway 89. The services that the special service district is proposed to provide are water, sewer, drainage, flood control, transportation, recreation, street lighting, and animal shelter and control services. Taxes may be levied annually upon all taxable property within the proposed special service district. Fees or charges may be imposed to pay for some or all of the services that the special service district is proposed to provide. To protest the creation of this district please submit a written protest to the City Recorder on behalf of the Legislative Body in accordance with Utah Code 17D-1-206. A written protest shall be submitted no later than sixty (60) days after the public hearing and explain why the person is protesting. A Public Hearing will be held at Harrisville City located at 363 W. Independence, Harrisville, Utah, before the City Council on November 10, 2020 at 7:00 PM. At the public hearing the City Council will take public comment in favor and opposition to the proposed creation of this special district.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE –HARRISVILLE CEMETERY SERVICE DISTRICT

In accordance with Utah Code 17D-1-205 notice is hereby given that the Harrisville City Council has adopted a resolution stating its intent to create a special service district constituting the municipal boundaries of Harrisville City. The services that the special service district is proposed to provide are cemetery services. Taxes may be levied annually upon all taxable property within the proposed special service district. Fees or charges may be imposed to pay for some or all of the services that the special service district is proposed to provide. To protest the creation of this district please submit a written protest to the City Recorder on behalf of the Legislative Body in accordance with Utah Code 17D-1-206. A written protest shall be submitted no later than sixty (60) days after the public hearing and explain why the person is protesting. A Public Hearing will be held at Harrisville City located at 363 W. Independence, Harrisville, Utah, before the City Council on November 10, 2020 at 7:00 PM. Notice to Fill Midterm Vacancy in Municipal Office

In accordance with Utah Code 20A-1-510, notice is hereby given that Harrisville City will be accepting applications from qualified registered voters in Harrisville City who desire to be considered to fill a midterm vacancy on the City Council. The unexpired term of this midterm vacancy will expire on December 31, 2021. Qualifications for consideration are: be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of the municipality, and be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Applications must be filed in person at the office of the City Recorder during regular office hours (Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm) and not later than 5pm on November 4, 2020. Applicants will be interviewed and considered by the City Council during the regular meeting on November 10, 2020, at 7:00 pm at the Harrisville City Offices, 363 W. Independence Blvd, Harrisville, UT.

 

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - BEN LOMOND VIEW APPLICATION 

The Harrisville Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on November 18, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., at Orion Jr. High located at 370 W. 2000 N., Harrisville, Utah, to receive comments for and against Harrisville Ordinance 515; Ben Lomond View Zoning Map Amendment from Open Space (O-1) zone to Mixed-Use Large Project Subzone (MU-LP) located at approximately 1800 N. Highway 89.  Individuals requiring special accommodation (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) should notify the City Recorder at 801-782-4100 ext. 1000 at least three (3) days prior to the hearing.
