HEAT WARNINGS IN WEBER COUNTY
Weber County will experience triple digit temps in the coming days. “Cooling Zones” will be provided during extreme “Heat Warnings”. This is when the maximum heat index temperature is expected to be 105° or higher for at least 2 days and night time air temperature will not drop below 75°.
DESIGNATED COOLING ZONES
“Cooling Zones” where anyone can go for refuge from high temperature exposure are:
All Weber County Libraries, the Ogden Eccles Conference Center, Weber Center, and The Riverdale Community Center.
In February 2000, a Shade Tree Committee was established to provide guidelines for citizens of Harrisville City regarding care and maintenance of trees. The following guidelines were set forth for planting locations and desirable trees so as to not interfere with public utilities and infrastructure. Resolution 00-02 was passed and adopted for this purpose. Further inquiries can be directed to the Public Works Department at 801-782-4100 x 1015.
