PUBLIC WORK DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

WASHINGTON BLVD RESURFACING PROJECT
UDOT will be completing an upcoming project to resurface Washington Blvd from 400 North to 2600 North. Work will begin on May 1, 2023 with pedestrian ramp replacement at various points along the corridor. Pedestrian detour routes will be in place while work takes place. Resurfacing work will take place at night and will start once nighttime temperatures are high enough to accommodate work activities - right now, they're tentatively planning to start resurfacing the week of May 15, 2023. Resurfacing will take place nightly from Sunday night through Thursday morning, from 7 PM to 5 AM. During those hours, there will be lane closures, and temporary access restrictions to driveways off of Washington Blvd as the equipment passes directly in front of each one.
